Job Description:
The Junior Accountant will be essential in supporting operational accounting such as billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records. You will get a chance to assist in month-end close procedures and grow your skills as an accountant on our dynamic team! Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve vendor inquiries or payment issues promptly between suppliers
- Collaborate with departments like sales and customer service to resolve billing issues and provide necessary support.
- Complete bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and documentation audits.
- Create and audit regular billing reports, resolving any discrepancies that need action
- Recording general ledger transactions
- Generate and distribute precise customer invoices using the provided data and billing terms
- Organize and execute payment batches, encompassing checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments
- Process vendor invoices, documenting and guaranteeing precision and correct classification in the general ledger.
- Assist Accountants with month-end close activities, by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate transaction records
- Verify that all financial procedures adhere to company policies and applicable regulations
- Partner with team on ad hoc projects and other accounting initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, minimum education requirements include Associates Degree
- 1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting preferred
- Seeking an independent thinker, someone able to maintain deadlines, and accuracy in a fast pace environment
- Comfortable using advanced Microsoft Excel such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
