Controller
JOB SUMMARY:
The Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing the Accounting Department in all accounting functions for Little River Medical Center and related operations. Equally important is the responsibility of assisting all of management in the prevention and detection of any unethical or illegal behavior or any company policy violations that becomes apparent in the performance of the accounting and administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
- Communicate any Unethical, Illegal or Policy Violations to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
- Communicate any Recommendations for Improvements in Operations or Administrative Procedures to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Manage the Senior Accountants and monitor all work assigned to them.
- Complete General Ledger Closing procedures (data input, reconciliations, etc.).
- Coordinate and assist in preparation of GAAP and Grant Budgets.
- Preparation of Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports at FYE.
- Coordinate and assist in preparation of UDS Report.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable responsibilities.
- Monitor Cash Management Responsibilities.
- Assist with Routine Financial and Accounting Related Communications through E-mail and Memos to other departments.
- Assist with Year-End Physical Inventories as needed.
- Oversee the Credentialing function of the Company
EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:
- BS Degree in Accounting
- Microsoft Office Experience
- Controller Experience
- Supervisory Experience
