A reputable construction company in the Gonzales area is actively searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. If you possess accounting experience and are seeking a promising career opportunity, this position could be an ideal fit for you.
Experience:
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, ability to process a high volume of vendor payables, experience analyzing discrepancies with vendor payables and reconciling issues, experience processing check payments, ACH/EFTs, and online payments, ability to work with accounting team and communicate payable matters effectively with vendors.
Responsibilities - Reports to Assistant Controller.
- Manual entry of all vendor invoices, from mail or email.
- Manual check entries into Sage beginning of each month.
- Research all Vendor Statements for accuracy (if missing any, will request from vendor to resubmit for proper entry into P-Vault
- Research any request for payment status on invoices still pending.
- Run weekly AP Aging report and submit to Project Managers for approval. Once approved by PM’s, report is given to SE VP of Operations, Compliance and Managing Partner for final approval.
- Run report of outstanding invoices in P-Vault that will not export due to being over the PO limit and issue to appropriate job managers.
- Run P-Vault aging report by job and issue to Senior Project management and Controller weekly.
- Issue checks weekly to Vendors, or when needed each day, could vary to multiple times a day.
- Track Energy bills for locations for billing back to the owners once the units are turned over.
- Handle any issues that come up on regards to AP requiring research in P-Vault or Sage.
- Other miscellaneous items that need attention throughout the day when called upon for research or requiring help with anything
- Strong Excel Skills.
