Bookkeeper
At Lola Interiors, the Bookkeeper plays a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial records and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for financial management, with the opportunity to grow into a full accounting role.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Prepare and distribute monthly design time invoices for review and delivery.
- Create and manage client invoices, ensuring timely payments and following up on overdue accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and process vendor payments accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile credit card charges, bank statements, and transactions daily.
- Maintain daily/weekly communication with external accounting firm as main point of contact
- Receive payments and manage deposits
- Manage vendor credits for damages and returns or other with suppliers
- Manage all prompt and consistent bill payments
Financial Reporting
- Track business goals and monitor expenses
- Review weekly and monthly financial reports provided by accounting firm to discuss with owner
- Prepare quarterly business analysis reports for team meetings, including marketing, inventory, and extra expenses
Procurement & Vendor Relations
- Process purchase order payments
- Manage damage claims and credits with vendors and suppliers
- Log and track project-related orders and updates for the project management team
- Manage vendor accounts to maintain accurate tax documentation and W-9s
- Develop and maintain frequently updated vendor contact and account records
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience in a construction, interior design or furniture sales business is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and project management software.
- Focus on Customer Service and Hospitality
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principals and practices
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
