Frey Computing Services Building Pay Grade: Professional Job Description: The position of Identity Operations Analyst on the Identity and Compliance Team of Information Technology Security and Policy is responsible for supporting the identity life-cycle of all user identities at LSU. The overall objective is to support the Identity Management Program. Job Responsibilities: Operations: Manage user accounts and access privileges based on established lifecycle management and role-based access. Create, modify, and deactivate accounts based on user lifecycle. Administers and maintains the identity and access management system including review of account and identity provisioning workflows and coordination of process improvements where applicable. Performs security policy adjustments in enterprise systems to ensure that enterprise data and business processes are available to be used where appropriate. (50%) Support: Reviews and resolves IT service management tickets related to identity and access management, applying University policy and procedures to ensure quality service as well as security. Conduct periodic reviews for various user populations related to account provisioning, deprovisioning and access management. Completes identity maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, identity merges, account transfers, deactivation and purging of different account types. Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to support the Identity and Access Management program. (40%) Other duties as assigned. (10%) Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3 years work experience in university environment with an understanding of identity management principles, concepts, and access controls. Must have excellent customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree with 5 years experience with strong understanding of IAM principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., LDAP, SAML, OAuth, RBAC). Familiarity with IAM tools and solutions such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity, etc. Understanding of business processes related to identity provisioning and access management. Additional Information: This position may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
