Job Purpose
Develop, establish, and promote a positive safety culture within the cultivation so that it can meet its ethical and legal obligations in terms of Health, Safety and Compliance
Essential Functions
● Keep operation and staff fully compliant with state regulations and regulatory bodies including:
Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA)
o Bureau of Fire Safety (BFS)
o Department of Licensing a Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
o Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
o Local Municipality
● Asses all facility and job functions within the cultivation to determine best practices for keeping employees and equipment safe.
● Identify and mitigate hazards to the fullest practical extent.
● Develop and implement proper safety and compliance training for all employees in the cultivation, according to their position.
● Develop and implement proper safety training for all equipment in the facility.
● Develop and implement security protocol that is compliant with state regulations.
● Perform walk-through inspections of the facility on a regular basis to assess state of safety and compliance and develop a plan to mitigate any possible deficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be familiar with state regulations and state regulatory bodies.
- Must be resourceful in finding solutions to issues as it pertains to safety and compliance.
- Must be able to properly communicate and articulate operational methods to state regulatory bodies.
- Must have a high level of initiative, be self-driven, and persistent.
- 2 years in safety and/or compliance or a related field preferred
Working Conditions
Working in a secure facility: Lume Cannabis cultivation and processing has strict security measures in place to prevent theft or diversion of cannabis products. This may include cameras, security personnel, and secure entrances and exits.
Work will be performed in a clean and well-ventilated environment: Additionally, a clean environment will be maintained to prevent contamination of the product.
Lume Cannabis has strict safety protocols in place to prevent injury. This includes wearing protective gear such as gloves, masks, and goggles, as well as following proper handling procedures for equipment and chemicals.
It's important to note that cannabis processing can be physically demanding work, and workers may be required to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
