The Role
The Lead Project Manager-Human Resources will be primarily responsible to project manage testing across the HR & Payroll work streams as part of Lumen’s Enterprise Resource Planning Transformation (ERPT) Program. They will partner with the Technical Program Manager to perform overall project management duties for the ERPT program and the Director Strategic Planning and Transformation in IT. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, reliable, and collaborative individual with practical project management experience, an understanding of project management methodologies, specifically Agile. The position reports to the Senior Director, HR PMO & Shared Services.
- This position is for a defined duration, concluding at the end of the ERPT hyper-care period approximately 8-12 months.
- This is a hybrid role with 75% remote WFH and 25% working in the Denver office for meetings.
The Main Responsibilities
- Project Management: Support the documentation, execution, monitoring, and closure of the ERPT project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Ensure alignment on project scope, deliverables, launch dates, etc. Conduct and attend meetings as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR leaders, department heads, and cross-functional teams to identify project needs, scope, deliverables, launch dates, and establish clear objectives, and manage expectations. Act as liaison between the company and external vendor partners.
- Problem Solving: Effectively address unexpected challenges arising from complexities arising throughout the project.
- Resource Allocation: Partner with the Technical Program Manager and project leads to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology, to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure effective time management.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and track and support development of mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Change Management: Partner with the Organization Change Management team to implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions in HR processes, systems, and practices.
- Documentation, Reporting, and Communication: Maintain clear and organized documentation to ensure the project is well-documented. Collaborate across project team to streamline communications and optimize project efficiency. Ensure a thorough project plan with specified deliverables, owners, dependencies, due dates, status, etc. (ex. RAIL) where appropriate. Distribute meeting notes, gaps, and action items for the project team. Provide regular executive-level status updates and project reports to appropriate individuals/groups, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Sensitive data: This project includes managing sensitive employee data and proprietary company information through all phases of projects. A focus on data integrity, analysis, and reporting is required.
- Adapt and Flex: Amplify adaptability and flexibility among project team through evolving project needs and changing circumstances, while also holding individuals and teams accountable for deliverables and effective decision-making. Project depth and expertise needed will vary – some projects may involve technology or global audiences, for example, while others may not.

- Bachelor’s degree, or PMP certification with equivalent experience
- 5 years’ professional experience with a solid track record for running projects in a complex, fast-paced environment

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$88,980 - $110,000 in these states: CO
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
