Job Summary:
The Community Engagement Manager will develop and manage a community-based events system that provides outreach, volunteer, and donor events in partnership with relationship managers, community volunteer hosts, congregations and community organizations. The Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining events and engagement opportunities that are repeatable, develop and provide training for community partners who may host or sponsor an event, and work with internal stakeholders in identifying and matching event opportunities with community interest.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three or more years of experience in Events, project management, education or related field.
- Event management and coordination, project management, marketing and communications, computer, and finance skills/knowledge.
- Experience in coordinating and collaborating between diverse constituencies.
- Collaborative work style and ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Experience or comfortably able to work with faith communities and churches.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to travel to LSS service sites and/or community partner sites throughout Minnesota.
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience is preferred.
