General:
- Review daily reports in TRANS4M, E139, etc. to manage inventory
- Control, coordinate and develop the internal/external supply chain
- Co-ordinate production instruction Kanban
- Co-ordinate finished locations
- Provide continuous improvement actions related to supply chain processes
- Control and coordinate all internal transfer and receiving data entry
- Operation of daily, weekly and monthly MRPII/ERP processes
- Inventory control analysis for all finished goods, cycle counts, variance analysis and problem resolution; preparation and keying of related inventory transactions
- Physical Inventory - preparation, counting/auditing counts, variance analysis
- Actively participate in procedure development and in implementing new processes, methods and software programs; perform system test work as needed to accomplish this
- Back up for other Material Analyst as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager
- Provide back-up support to the Dock Supervisor
Qualification Requirements:
- Strong understanding of materials management fundamentals required
- Ability to deliver accurate, quick and concise communications through written and verbal interactions, both internally and externally
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft based computer programs (Excel) is required
- Proficient in the use of Core MRP and inventory control functions within TRANS4M an asset
- 1 year experience in inventory/production control, purchasing or scheduling, preferably in the automotive sector an asset
- Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to work overtime, as required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
Health & Safety Environmental Responsibilities:
- Work in compliance with and support company policies, procedures, work instructions and programs relating to health/safety and environment
- Provide support and resources in a timely manner to address health and safety or environmental concerns or hazards that require corrective action
- Clearly communicate goals to direct reports for health/safety and environmental protection
- Ensure adherence to facility’s 5S program.
- Review accident/incident investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions have been completed
- Conduct regular audits of work area(s) to ensure no safety hazards or environmental issues exist
- Administer appropriate corrective action for substandard health and safety or environmental performance
Physical Demands: Ability to lift max. 50lbs periodically.
Accountability/ Performance Measurables:
- KPI's will be developed and approved to achieve Business Plan objectives;
- Sub KPI's will be created as required in order to meet or exceed Business Plan objectives;
- KPI results will be tracked and tied to overall job performance and annual merit increase or bonus.
Education and/or Experience:
- Completion of Secondary School required
- Completion of Post-Secondary School focusing on Materials Management would be an asset
- APICS Certificate or CPIM designation would be an asset
- Experience in project management an asset
Language Skills: English
Mathematical Skills:
- Aptitude for working with numbers with a high degree of accuracy. (establishing MRP, product times, run outs etc.)
Reasoning Ability: Able to problem solve effectively.
Salary : $45,600 - $57,800
