Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for supporting operations in all phases of assigned area with emphasis on improving efficiencies, yield, reduction of downtime and process improvement. Position will establish and implement training for assigned personnel and maintain records of training.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures. Establish, support and maintain a "safety first" culture.
- Accountable for the safety of all employees / contractors for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provide clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.
- Supports and investigates situations in which line / equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
- Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventative actions to eliminate / reduce environmental, health or safety risks.
- Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.).
- Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner.
- Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures
- Identify and implement process changes and improvements.
- Analyze and investigate process and equipment changes.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, determine root cause and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate and assist with installation of new equipment
- Assist with start-up, changeover and shutdown of machines, as necessary.
- Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures, control charts, histograms, CpK, and other SPC tools and measurements; recommend improvements based on statistical data and observation.
- Assist in investigating and resolving quality complaints
- Maintain updated Quality Procedures and communicate those changes with operators, team leaders and supervisors
- Generate and maintain operating procedures, work instructions and SOC's for
- Train assigned employees in operating procedures, work instructions and SOC's.
- Coordinate with training coordinator for additional training needs for assigned area
- Sets goals for assigned area and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
- Implement and maintain correct KPI status and production information on all product lines.
- Assist in coordinating planning and production schedules to meet demand
- Maintain all area forms and job related training records in accordance with ISO requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
