Campus Safety Position
The Campus Safety Officer II is an essential member of the team at Maine Maritime Academy, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, employees, and visitors on campus. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in emergency situations.
Main Tasks
- Patrolling the campus to identify potential safety hazards and security concerns.
- Responding to customer requests for assistance with student-related issues, parking questions, or emergency situations.
- Collaborating with Student Services to protect the welfare and safety of students.
- Maintaining accurate records according to campus policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Competencies
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety documents, SOPs, and manuals.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Work Environment
