MAKITA Corporation of America, a worldwide leading producer of high-quality power tools, is seeking an IT Specialist to become a part of our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization's AS400 and network systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations in AS400 and network environment to enhance and support Information Systems
- Assist in user request creation
- Assist in the design of application systems
- Maintain application systems and programs as required
- Perform data and System backup
- Maintain System software update
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/ MIS or equivalent work experience.
- Familiar with AS/400 and Operation System CL Commands.
- Knowledge of Computer Programming
- Familiar with Virtualization (VMware)
- Experience in the Manufacturer processes and procedures.
- Detail-oriented and committed to the completion of tasks.
- Advanced MS Office Skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Advanced Windows workstation and server operation systems (Windows 10 and server 2012).
- Good communication and documentation skills of new projects or modifications to existing systems.
- Some knowledge in RPG, C , COBOL, SQL, Python, VBscript is a PLUS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
