Accounts Receivable and Rent Administrator
Primary Responsibilities:
- Post all lockbox checks and subsidies on daily basis.
- Post the security deposits and reconcile the security deposits.
- Rent bills (print labels, print bills and put them in envelopes).
- Reconcile tenant ledgers for multiple properties. Reconcile receivable reports at the end of the month.
- Access to NYCH and keep Property Managers updated if subsidy is terminated for any units
- Monitor receipt of new contract rents from NYCHA and update the lease charge in the system.
- Prepare and send out arrears reports to Property Managers for both Tenant shares and NYCHA shares
- Keep track of new move-ins checks (first month and security deposit) and move outs (SD
- Monitor ERAP payments and One-Shot payments
- Open NYCHA letters and scan them to property managers
- Assist on compliance submissions.
- Answer tenant inquiries in regards to rent changes
Desired skills and experience:
- Degree or equivalent on the job experience in accounting or business administration
· Knowledge of City agencies (NYCHA, HPD, DOB, HDC) certifications, violations etc.
· Knowledge of the requirements of HUD for management of HUD insured building.
· Knowledge of Rent Stabilization laws.
· Certified Low Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance.
· Yardi Voyager experience.
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with property managers and team members
- Fluency with Microsoft programs
