Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a motivated GIS Technician to join our Infrastructure Services Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. The ideal candidate will utilize ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to maintain multiple datasets for clients with a focus on wet/dry utilities. Tasks include creating, editing, and updating feature classes and associated attribute data, in some cases georeferencing and/or digitizing record drawings, and creating schematic maps for clients. Workflows may also include asset management of wet/dry utilities and public features/structures, as needed. Curating web maps for clients using AGOL WebApp Builder and Experience Builder and creating feature classes for specific use cases for a client (e.g. field data collection) are also a focus of this position.

This position performs drafting and modeling of increasingly complex projects. Understands department’s modeling/drafting software and standards. Actively learning about components and systems being modeled/drafted. Duties vary based on discipline listed in title.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Same as Technician I, plus the following:
- Modeling and drafting details of increased complexity
- Assists in project set-up, including importing reference details, editing general notes, creating new files, and linking external files
- Manages cloud-hosted models internally and externally. Maintains department/client modeling and drafting standards on projects
- Communicates in a professional manner
- Investigative: performs field testing and prepares reports
- Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Investigative: Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
- Investigative: Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Same as Technician I, plus the following:
- Effectively applies department’s modeling/drafting standards, is proficient in its modeling/drafting software, and beginning to develop complete drawing sets
- Demonstrates ownership of projects and takes initiative
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Same as Technician I, plus the following:
- Proficient in department workflows used to produce models and drawings
- Becoming knowledgeable of the systems and components being designed and how they are constructed
- Meets deadlines established by supervisor
- Demonstrated success as a Technician I for at least 2 years, at least 3 years of directly related equivalent experience/education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro
- Familiarity with vertical and horizontal coordinate systems
- Familiarity with land surveying legal descriptions
- Experience with ArcGIS Online Experience Builder
- Experience with asset management and work order systems
- Experience automating tasks via scripting or ArcGIS Model Builder

Salary : $31 - $35
