Job Description:
The Career Pathway Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, instructing, and coordinating healthcare pathway program(s) at Hastings Senior High School and throughout the central Nebraska region, as applicable. Focuses are on pre-healthcare program learning experiences, coordination of educational pathways, and strategic program alignment with the goal to increase access to healthcare careers.
This position will serve as the main instructor for the Certified Nursing Assistant classroom, instructing and coordinating between Central Community College (CCC) and Hastings Public Schools (HPS) course requirements and class rosters. Will assist with healthcare day camp(s), tours, and high school shadowing opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
Experience: 3-5 years clinical bedside care required. Previous teaching/instructor experience preferred.
Certificate/License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska required. Nebraska Department of Education Local Substitute teaching permit within 24 months of employment required.
