The Director of Home Health is responsible for overseeing the management of the Home Health team. This position will establish and implement strategies to best support the vision and mission of the organization through the identification of new business opportunities, the management of existing teams based in the Coon Rapids and North Branch areas, and increasing operating performance. This position requires regulatory knowledge, business knowledge, and administrative skills to foster growth and profitability for the Home Health line of business.
Responsibilities
- Manage day to day operations including patient and staff issues, oral and written communications to variety of internal and external individuals and organizations.
- Develop and implements budget that supports strategies and operational goals that support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and demands, and complying with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure that patient care meets patient expectations and work with families to ensure patient care.
- Ensures policies and procedures are maintained.
- Create an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to manage employee performance and staffing schedules.
- Organized and impromptu meetings with individual staff or teams, providing direction and support. Work with other teams to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
- Ensure patient medical records are accurate and up to date.
- Authorize expenditures, manage supplies and ensure correct coding and billing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration or Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Active RN in Minnesota, in good standing, preferred.
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of leadership and supervision experience in a healthcare setting, preferably home health
- Knowledge of home health operations and licensure in Minnesota preferred
