Based in Oklahoma City, Snowmass Creek Capital is a single-family office that is affiliated with MidFirst Bank, the largest privately held bank in the country. Snowmass Creek Capital holds a multi-asset class portfolio and has been investing for more than twenty years.
We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join the family office as part of the existing investment team. As part of the family office investment team, this position will focus on sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring private fund investments and related co-investments across multiple asset classes, with a primary focus on buyout, growth equity and venture capital strategies.
This is a full-time position that will report to the family office Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in Oklahoma City.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify actionable investment opportunities while mapping and tracking relevant investments for a multi-asset class portfolio. Primary focus will be given to third-party managed private equity and venture capital funds and related co-investments.
- Lead investment due diligence and work with the family office CIO to evaluate investment opportunities, producing written research notes and detailed financial models.
- Guide approved investments to completion, working with legal, tax, and accounting resources.
- Monitor and provide ongoing support to the investment portfolio, regularly reviewing fund reports, participating in management calls, and tracking relevant sector news.
- Regularly report upon the investment portfolio’s financial performance relative to the original investment thesis and benchmarks.
- Build collaborative relationships with fund managers, companies, and other fund investors.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with an excellent academic record. An MBA or CFA designation (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in investing, investment banking, or business consulting (preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of fund due diligence experience
- A proven analytical ability, strong command of advanced financial concepts, and working knowledge of private equity fund and venture capital deal structures
- Advanced financial modeling and Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to set priorities and advance projects in a less-structured work environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High integrity, intellectual honesty, self-awareness, and humility
Monthly business travel will likely be required to meet with existing and prospective investments. Travel may include destinations such as New York and California.
