Miles & Stockbridge is hiring an HR Generalist to join our growing HR team. This role will be highly focused on recruiting, retention, and employee engagement, in addition to other HR Generalist responsibilities. We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a passion for recruiting, onboarding, training and employee engagement. HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including needs assessments, posting job openings, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the offer processes.
- Partner with department leaders, attorneys, and other hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies that attract high-quality talent.
- Manage applicant tracking systems to maintain recruiting data and analytics to improve hiring processes.
- Oversee and facilitate the new hire onboarding experience, ensuring employees have a smooth transition into the firm.
- Maintain and improve onboarding materials and processes to enhance the employee experience.
- Manage the background investigation process to ensure they are completed in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and facilitating training programs for new hires and existing employees.
- Work with managers to identify training needs and recommend appropriate development opportunities.
- Support performance management processes through viGlobal Performance Management System.
- Manage and update data within UKG Applicant Tracking System and viGlobal Performance Management System.
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to support business decisions.
- Ensure recruiting and onboarding processes are compliant with federal, state, and local hiring regulations.
- Maintain accurate records related to hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Assist with employee recognition programs and firm-wide culture-building activities.
- Conduct stay interviews and support initiatives to drive workplace satisfaction.
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of full cycle recruiting and general HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Experience working with UKG Applicant Tracking System and viGlobal Performance Management System preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, onboarding procedures, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR technology, Microsoft Office Suite, and HRIS systems.

The pay range for this position is $67,800 - $98,800. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds.
