Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Providing a safe and supportive living environment for a group of students
• Guiding students through daily activities and supporting their academic and personal growth
• Working closely with your spouse and other staff members to create a cohesive and effective team
• Caring for the physical and emotional needs of our students
• Coordinating daily routines, including meal times, homework sessions, and recreational activities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services
• Demonstrated experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• Couples must be comfortable living on-campus and working flexible hours
