As a Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Providing a safe and supportive living environment for a group of students
- Guiding students through daily activities and supporting their academic and personal growth
- Working closely with your spouse and other staff members to create a cohesive and effective team
- Caring for the physical and emotional needs of our students
- Coordinating daily routines, including meal times, homework sessions, and recreational activities
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services
- Demonstrated experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be comfortable living on-campus and working flexible hours
