The HR Business Partner will be responsible for delivering proactive and high-quality operational HR support to the HR Business Partners and internal client groups. The candidate will provide day-to-day support to Corporate business units by assisting with a variety of HR services and initiatives, while ensuring a positive employee experience aligned with Mizuho’s goals and values.
Primary Responsibilities: The role will report into the senior HR Business Partner. Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide operational support to HR Business Partners on both cyclical and ad-hoc HR processes including onboarding and offboarding, performance management, promotions, compensation, organizational changes and talent management. Support will involve ensuring data is captured accurately, handling reporting requests, assisting with audits, and the tracking and maintenance of employee data and documents.
- Provide day-to-day support for employees and managers on operational HR matters by providing timely, accurate and thorough responses.
- Project manage planned and ad-hoc activities for the HR Business Partner team.
- Assist with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and positive experience for new employees.
- Manage the documentation and follow-up process for both voluntary and involuntary leavers.
- Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency; identify process issues through day-to-day transactional work and escalate as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other key stakeholders HR and internal client groups
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required; Human Resources or Psychology degree preferred
- 2 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Comfortable learning and navigating through HR systems; prior Workday experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong follow up skills, attention to detail, and process orientation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client service focus
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
- Superior judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and assertiveness
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and proactively contribute ideas, views, and recommendations to the team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high intensity work environment
The expected base salary ranges from $75,000.00 -$85,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
