Ring & DuChateau, an MRA member, is recruiting a permanent, full-time Human Resources Manager. Ring & DuChateau LLP, is an MEPT Consulting Engineering Firm located in the Greater Milwaukee area since 1961. We are a team of 90 engineers, designers, technicians and support staff dedicated to engineering design and service excellence. Due to a pending retirement, we are seeking a full-spectrum Human Resource Manager in our Brookfield, WI location.
In addition to running the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, you will be a trusted advisor to leadership, assisting with decision-making related to the human capital of the firm. The culture of the firm supports work-life balance in all situations, and the HR Manager will monitor the culture and ensure the working environment remains employee centric.
Our manager will collaborate with the administrative department in recordkeeping matters including compensation, all record creation and retention. The Manager is responsible for legal compliance along with the development and administration of HR policies, procedures and programs.
Benefits management for the company is a vital component of the job and we expect knowledge of broker interaction, negotiation with carriers and benefit package selection and delivery and implementation. This may include business insurance as well as Employee Benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Be an advocate for the employees, including management and leadership.
2. Remain current with changing legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting mandates comply with all regulatory and legal requirements.
3. Communicate with colleagues, managers and benefit providers to provide information, assistance and resolution regarding employment, payroll, Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term disability (STD), workers’ compensation, benefits, time off, employee relations and terminations, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
4. Actively manage all facets of recruiting to ensure all staffing requirements are met.
5. Prepare and maintain EEO reporting, Affirmative Action Plan annual updates and reporting and related record keeping.
6. Conducts new employee orientation and on-boarding, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
7. Conduct or arrange training programs for management and employees in selective areas.
8. Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
9. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
10. Administers performance management program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
11. Administers compensation program by conducting market reviews when necessary but no less than one time per year. Perform cohort analysis internally to ensure pay equity within the organization.
12. Manages claims for business insurance, including workers' compensation, auto accidents, etc.
13. Maintains OSHA reporting and prepares annual logs.
14. Conducts employee separation procedure and interviews.
15. Assist with the transitioning created by organizational change. Determine impact of change identify risks and assist with developing action plans for successful transition.
16. Must be willing to work at all levels: Hands-on clerical as well as engaging in business planning and executive coaching.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill
- Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HR Certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Ability to utilize the Microsoft Suite of products, HR Connection or other HRIS systems.
