The company's solutions enable users to manufacture various types of chip cards, including ID, contact, and dual interface cards, as well as multimedia cards and smart labels for access control and supply chain management. Mühlbauer's equipment is used to personalize Virginia Driver Licenses as well as licenses in other states in order to protect documents against counterfeiting and alteration.
Mühlbauer, Inc is looking to hire an experienced IT Project Manager at its Newport News, Virginia location. The ideal candidates are confident in their analytical thinking ability to create project plans to meet customer and company specifications. They would be able to make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project. In addition, would have experience with communicating with customers and leadership teams on project status updates and milestones.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop customer and company-initiated project plans, including setting targets for milestones, identify resources while adhering to budgetary needs and deadlines
- Independently manage the execution of project plans including implementing appropriate measures to meet timelines, budget, quality control needs and feasibility requirements at the customer's site
- Serve as the point of contact for customers, suppliers and employees for project-specific issues
- Lead project teams and work directly with international customers and employees
- Perform quality control inspections on the project throughout development and execution to maintain expected standards
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.) or another field directly related to the position
- Two or more years of IT Prroject Management experience or as a team leader working on multiple assignments at the same time
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Certification in either Project Manager (CPM) or Project Management Practitioner (CPMP) (perfered)
