Position: Data Remediation Analyst
Location: Open to remote; Ideally hybrid onsite in New York City, NY or Boston, MA
Duration: 6 Months; Potential for extension
Client: Apex/Santander Group - Boston
On W2 Contract.
Required Skills:
- Banking
Prior experience with Data Remediation/Stewardship.
Ability to translate business problems into requirements, process changes, test cases, data mapping, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to data transformation, functions/expressions, VBA, Macros
Position Description:
Our client in the commercial banking domain is currently seeking a highly skilled, dedicated and detail-oriented Data Remediation Analyst with a strong background in data management, who is passionate about making a positive impact in the financial industry.
- In this role, the person will be responsible for driving the data remediation efforts in the CDO which includes but not limited to:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data remediation plan
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address gaps or data quality issues.Monitor and track progress of data remediation efforts, and provide regular updates to management.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure data integrity.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend efficient procedures.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of data remediation efforts.
- Identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may hinder the success of remediation activities.
- Proactively communicate with clients and stakeholders to address any mitigation concerns or questions
Required Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience
- Conduct analysis of business processes and functional requirements
- Ability to document, communicate and validate findings
- Identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources, and system specifications.
- Ability to translate business problems into requirements, process changes, test cases, data mapping, etc.
- Proficient in MMS Office applications, experience with MS Project a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to data transformation, functions/expressions, VBA, Macros.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL or other coding language a plus
- Data Analytics, MS Office, SQL Proficient (incl. Macros)
- Proficient in understanding and analyzing business processes and functional requirements
- Translate business problems into requirements, process/IT changes, test cases, data mapping, etc.
- Identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources, and system specifications.
- Experience with Identifying/documenting/mitigating data defect root cause
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience with Data Remediation/Stewardship
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is strong nice to have
