The HR Operations Director is a key leadership role within a Human Resources department. They oversee the HR operations function's day-to-day activities, including direct staff supervision, benefit and leave management, performance management, and HR Systems management. Work closely with the VP of HR and other HR leaders to ensure that operational processes and systems are efficient, effective, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR systems, an analytical process, and the ability to drive process improvements across various HR functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Manages Benefits, workers compensation, LOA, payroll, systems, and analytics teams.
- Oversees HR systems, including management and maintenance of Dayforce (Ceridian) HRIS system
- Leverage significant budget allocations to enhance existing HRIS systems and implement new HR software systems including evaluation, design, implementation, ongoing support, and analytics for add-on software or new vendors.
- Manages and oversees all benefit and insurance programs in a fully self-funded environment including costs, billing, reporting, and analytics including 401(k), worker's compensation, and health/wellness offerings
- Conducts regular functional-excellence benchmarking and manages vendors to ensure our internal customers receive best-in-class service.
- Own the HR compliance, audit, and reporting functions including 5500, internal and external audits, and SOX assistance.
- Oversees company total rewards programs
- Continuously look for opportunities to optimize efficiency in HR processes and programs
Experience/ Training/ Education
- 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing compensation, benefits, and/or HRIS solutions.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (highly preferred).
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (highly preferred).

- Comprehensive understanding of self-funded benefit programs and cost management strategies

Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
