Duties
- You will perform a wide range of activities involved in receiving, issuing, storing, segregating, selecting, handling, prepping, inventorying, and shipping ordnance material.
- You will perform inspections to determine adequacy of operations and facilities.
- You will perform receipt and issue inspection of ordnance items and certify items as ready for issue.
- You will inspect and approve transportation conveyances as suitable for loading, blocking, and bracing.
- You will advise management on safety of facilities and planned operations, assure adherence to procedures, and review standard operating procedures.
- You will block, brace, and lash any vehicle, vessel, or other conveyance laden with explosives, hazardous materials, or any ordnance related components to the appropriate military standards, weapons requirements, and/or related specifications.
- You will determine the detail locations within storage facilities as well as proper stowage of cargo within vessels in accordance with the load plan.
- You will load and offload ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels, and other conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, and stackers.
- You will handle ammunition, explosives, countermeasures, pyrotechnics and all components of such.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
