Key responsibilities Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager
1. Own the month end closing
2. Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate and timely balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
3. Verify and record complex transactions, ensuring proper classification and adherence to accounting principles.
4. Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure the company complies with relevant financial reporting standards.
5. Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy.
6. Contribute to the preparation of corporate tax returns and related filings
7. Present clear and concise financial information to management, including insights and recommendations
8. Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
9. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
10. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
11. Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Several years of progressive accounting experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools – NETSUITE A PLUS
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
