What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Specialist position at New Dawn Treatment Centers?
New Dawn Treatment Centers is Northern Nevada's only family owned and operated behavioral health organization with over 35 years of experience providing evidence based addiction treatment and mental health services. We are also the only organization in Northern California offering a full-continuum of care from Detox to Intensive Outpatient services, including Lifetime Aftercare for program graduates and their families.
Essential Job Functions
- Create relationships with VA clinic representatives and coordinate referrals with them
- Assist the Admission Department with making referrals to local health care organizations that we have a referral relationship with.
- Work with the Director of Business Development to carry out the Organization's missions and outreach strategy.
- Develop strong referral relationships with healthcare organizations in the Northern California region who can benefit from having New Dawn as a referral source for their patients.
- Participate in Outreach Events and Activities sponsored by New Dawn and other partner organizations.
- Increase Brand awareness and educate potential referral sources about New Dawn's new staff, programs, and unique treatment options and settings that no other programs offer.
- Assist with development and implementation of New Dawn's new alumni and family program, including weekly alumni events.
- Help in improving New Dawn's reputation within the Sacramento and surrounding communities.
- Provide facility tours for potential referral sources.
- Communicate all feedback about New Dawn's programs to the CEO and Director of Clinical Outreach for quality assurance and program improvement.
Certified Addiction Counselors, Master's Level therapists/counselors, LVN's and Social Workers are encouraged to apply. Bonus incentives offered for reaching monthly and quarterly goals.
