What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at New Law Firm?
This is a paralegal position focused primarily on litigation related tasks. The law firm is a fast-paced, quickly growing law firm that specializes in assisting families with nursing home abuse and neglect claims. We strive to provide a unique level of customer satisfaction for our clients. We recognize that they are coming to us often at the most vulnerable time of their lives, and are relying on us to restore their lives.
Experience:
A minimum of 1-3 years of paralegal experience is preferred. However, we will consider candidates with no prior experience who are able to demonstrate hunger and a readiness to succeed.
Primary Work Related Tasks
- Managing attorneys’ calendars
- Providing updates to clients about their cases
- Scheduling litigation tasks and events, including depositions, meetings with clients, experts, witnesses, etc.
- Electronically filing documents in various courts using their electronic filing systems
- Drafting letters and emails to clients, witnesses, and attorneys
- Drafting motions and pleadings (under attorney supervision and review)
- Proofreading letters, motions, and pleadings drafted by attorneys
- Ensure that outside
