Position Summary
As the Regional Director of Operations (RDO), you will be responsible for driving business performance across all departments in your assigned Communities. In doing so, you are expected to meet or exceed all financial goals while maintaining or improving the quality of service, safety, customer/team member experience, and all program initiatives. You will comply with federal and state laws and regulations as well as Company’s policies and procedures. Will lead by example and champion the company’s mission, Residents First in Everything We Do.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all communities and departments maintaining or improving quality, safety, and program standards.
- Ensure clinical compliance and positive survey readiness in all assigned communities.
- Responsible for financial results of assigned communities.
- Responsible for customer/team member experience/satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed business performance goals for startup communities.
- Drive towards 100% occupancy with a wait list.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all Executive Directors for their assigned communities. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training of all front line and department head staff.
- Provide timely performance evaluations.
- Conduct retention activities to ensure adequate levels of engaged team members.
- Supervise assigned direct reports while emulating company Servant Leadership principles.
- Where escalated, respond to all family inquiries within 24 - 48 hours.
- Where escalated, oversee account receivable balances over 30-days and facilitate collection efforts.
- Champion regulatory requirements and ensure that communities adhere to them.
- Communicate and collaborate to address site deficiencies and identify risk factors.
- As a representative of the communities, maintain an active and positive visible presence in the local business community. (Service clubs, City Council, etc.).
- Maintain positive working relationships with County and State representatives.
- Ensure an attractive home environment that fosters engagement, socialization, and purposeful living
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or health related field with 5 years management experience.
- Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting. Has demonstrated ability or strong desire to engage with residents with dementia.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem-solving skill sets to support them.
- Strong computer skills and ability to interact with a variety of electronic devices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: $120K-$130K/year
