Job Description:
As a Project Controls Specialist with New River Electrical Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your primary responsibility will be to track and analyze project financial data, identifying trends and areas of concern that need to be addressed by project management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Work closely with project management to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
• Analyze project financial data to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost trends, profitability, and return on investment (ROI).
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of customer billing projections and invoices.
• Provide regular cost reports to project management and field supervision, highlighting areas of improvement and potential risks.
• Ensure approved work authorizations and change orders are properly recorded and tracked using relevant instruments and systems.
• Validate and approve project invoicing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in project conference calls to discuss project status, progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Manage bid processes, ensuring key milestones are communicated to project management staff and all necessary documents are up-to-date.
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a related position, preferably in construction or project finance controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including internal staff and external professionals.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of programs such as Smartsheet, Vista, PowerBI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Adobe.
