We are leaders in each of our respective service lines, including Vapor Control, Chemical Cleaning, Tank Cleaning, Water Treatment, Vacuum Services, Hydroblasting, Hydroexcavation, and Industrial Logistics & Transportation. We currently have an opening for Accounts Payable Manager at our Ballston Spa, NY location .
Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function. Ensures timely processing and payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Enforces Company policies when it comes to use of Purchase Orders and Delegation of Authority for approval of company expenditures. Review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy. Responsible for identifying system and process improvements and enhancements.
The successful candidate will have traditional Accounts Payable responsibilities including:
•Managing Accounts Payable staff to ensure the team is efficient in processing customer invoices and vendors are paid accurately
•This role is the key individual in the organization to foster good vendor relations
•Accounts Payable Manager will lead the effort to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner, vendors are set-up in the system correctly per company policy and is responsible for 1099 / tax related matters when it pertains to vendors.
•Maintain systems, policies and procedures, that impact the accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
•Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.
•Provides accounting assistance to operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
•Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
•Identify process deficiencies in the Accounts Payable process and implement changes to improves the processes.
•Demonstrated understanding of business principles and practices
•Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
•Strong presentation skills
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting
