Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Safety, or related technical program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent presentation skills and Interpersonal skills (Written and oral)
- Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to travel with company provided vehicle.
Job Summary:
This position will be based out of Northwest's Oklahoma City location. The successful candidate, under the direction of the HSE Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting management in ensuring operations are conducted in compliance with government regulations, company policy, and industry practice with respect to safety.
Job Description:
- Assist with development of safety policies and programs necessary to achieve and maintain compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct (develop, schedule and present) training classes for employees, supervisors and managers in General and Construction industry OSHA training, process safety management, hazardous work permitting, respiratory protection, hazardous material communication, related industrial hygiene subjects and other courses as necessary or regulations dictate.
- Conduct safety and loss control investigations of employee injuries, vehicle accidents, and contractor incidents where liability is an issue to determine causes, write reports and provide training where needed to prevent future occurrences.
- Represent the Company in regulatory inspections conducted by OSHA or other agencies. Represent the Company to insurance carrier representatives with respect to worker’s compensation and property damage inspections. Provide information for coordination of return to work and light duty.
