Northwest Resources II, Inc. is a behavioral health organization serving residents of Thurston and Mason Counties in Washington State. NWRII programs and services include: Inpatient and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Outpatient Mental Health Treatment, Psychiatric Medication Management, Intensive Case Management, Housing Case Management and Jail Re-Entry Case Management.
Responsibilities:
· Provide crisis intervention services, ongoing face-to-face contact, and follow-up to facilitate an individual’s access to appropriate care placements and services for individuals in the Nisqually Tribal Jail.
· Assist clients with accessing medical, chemical dependency, or mental health treatment services as clinically appropriate.
· Coordinate with primary care physicians and other programs operated through the federal government including federally qualified health centers, Indian health programs, and veterans’ health programs for which the person is eligible.
· Coordinate as appropriate with therapeutic courts, drug courts, and mental health courts, and the Department of Corrections.
· Coordinate with local offices of the Washington State Economic Services Administration to assist the person in accessing and remaining enrolled in those programs to which the person may be entitled.
· Coordinate as needed with Crisis Services staff in the Providence St. Peter Hospital Emergency Department, the Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) Treatment Specialist in the Thurston County Evaluation and Treatment center, and other treatment providers.
· Where appropriate, advocate for the client’s needs to assist the person in achieving and maintaining stability and progress toward recovery.
· Document the number of contacts, referrals by type and outcome of each.
· Create community reentry and pretrial release plans that include needs-based assessment to support the development of an individualized pretrial diversion plan to be presented in court.
· Create individualized plans which address the court’s concerns and the individual’s needs in the areas of housing, mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, medication and professional appointments.
· Create plans ready for distribution to the prosecution, defense and other involved parties (e.g. probation and therapeutic court staff).
· Develop release plans addressing housing and behavioral health needs.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma/GED.
· Associate of Arts/Associate of Science/Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
· Minimum of 1 year freedom from misuse of alcohol and other drugs.
· Ability to pass criminal background check.
· Ability to obtain a Counselor Agency Affiliated Registration (CAAR) credential.
· Trained in Motivational Interviewing or the ability to complete Motivational Interviewing training upon hire.
· Knowledge of, and adherence to, all federal and state confidentiality laws.
