What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist position at Onyx Integrative Medicine and Aesthetics?
Onyx Integrative Medicine & Aesthetics is a naturopathic medical office that provides health and wellness services including vitamin IVs, acupuncture & cupping, medical aesthetics (botox, fillers, PDO threads, chemical peels, microneedling etc), as well as naturopathic health consults for a variety of health conditions (hormones, mental health, autoimmunity, fertility, digestion & more). We are currently a team of three doctors. All of our services are self-pay since we do not accept insurance. Our office is a fun and friendly environment where we create genuine relationships with all of our valued patients. We are open Monday through Friday and available by appointment on Saturdays. Full training will be provided so you are comfortable answering questions and using our software.
We are also looking to add a receptionist to our team. This role would include receptionist role such as:
- checking in and checking out patients
- booking appointments
- answering questions about our practice
- creating lab orders
- calling in prescriptions
- re-ordering of medical supplies
- light cleaning duties (bathrooms, cleaning cups)
Bonus skills include:
- social media posting
- creative marketing ideas (newsletters, networking, text campaigns)
- creating organizational systems for office management
The ideal candidate is extremely organized and a self-starter who can prioritize tasks, follow up with previous taks and communicate efficiently. We are looking for someone who can really take a management role vs simply following orders and catches on quickly. We are seeking someone with exprience in the holistic medical field and working at the front desk and who is passionate about natural health themselves ("walk the walk"). In addition, we invite a creative person who brings ideas on how to expand and improve our patient experience. We are a growing practice and currently only require someone for a very part time role and someone who is very flexible with their working hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Checking patients in upon arrival
- Answering phone calls and assisting people with booking an appointment, changing appointments, or answering questions they have
- Checking patients out after appointments and rebooking their next appointment
- Replying to texts and emails
- Reaching out to new submissions online
- Calling in prescriptions
- Creating lab orders
- Categorizing incoming faxes, lab results etc.
- Light cleaning (bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, coffee cups)
- Personally assisting doctors with small duties

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
