What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult /Continuing Education Literacy Instructor (PT) - Posted 1/24/25 position at Orleans-Niagara BOCES?
Anticipated initial assignment is various sites in Niagara County, NY. Two evenings per week, specific days to be determined, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The individual will provide literacy instruction and preparation skills for the High School Equivalency (HSE/GED) exam to adult literacy students, teaching job readiness skills, career preparation, and computer literacy. Experience working with adults to improve literacy skills and prepare for employment is desired. A bachelor's degree in education or related field is required. The individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual will qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change. Salary: $34.00 per hour.
