Description :
An IT Technician will assist all of our IT needs. You will be responsible for installing or upgrading
components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support
issues. You should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software
technologies. You will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.
Requirements :
It is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented, as you must be able to
fulfill all of the following requirements :
- Installing security measures on devices.
- Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
- Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
- Install desktops, portable computers, peripherals, and software products for networked,
and standalone environments.
Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers,printers, multi-printers, and peripherals
Printer Configuration and ManagementMaintaining databases for digital and hardware assetsHardware lifecycle ManagementDetect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer softwareand hardware failures.
Provide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portablecomputer hardware and software.
Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.Communicate / keep supervisor updated with current tasks.Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening / updating / closing tickets in a timely andappropriate manner.
Proficient in managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering totesting and deployment.
Effectively communicate with others by telephone, electronic communications, or inperson.
Qualifications for IT Technician :
Should be approachable and fair with a professional demeanor.Has good multitasking abilities.Previous experience as an IT Technician is preferable.Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.Proven ability to learn and master new technologies.Basic understanding of the knowledge areas below with a desire to develop proficiency
through on-the-job training and continuous learning.
Knowledge areasComputer hardware componentsOperating systems : Windows, macOS, Linux, & iOSSoftware : Google workspace products, GenAI Platforms, Patch Management andVulnerability Software, Windows Administration tools, Domain Servers
Network Administration : Managing User accounts, Configuring Network devices,Automation ConfigurationScripting / or programming : Powershell, CMD, Bash, Python, HTML, CSS, & JavaScriptAbility to determine IT needs and train end-users.Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in the IT support field.Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.Excellent telephone, verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.Must be at least 18 years of age.A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of educationlevel, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
Ability to move and transfer objects, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the site.Ability to occasionally lift or reach objects overhead.Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.Ability to move throughout the site for an entire shift.Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a site (e.g., dolly, hand truck,computer, printer).
Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.Ability to successfully complete all required training.Ability to travel as required in support of site and regional needs.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
