The Position:
As a Patient Service Coordinator at Panorama Eyecare, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver the best eyecare. The Role
Patient Services Coordinators will support the clinic functions through communication and cooperation with provider Lead Technicians and the Lead Patient Services Coordinator. The function of a Patient Services Coordinator should serve to ease the administrative burden on clinical support staff and provide patients with a liaison between themselves and clinical support staff members and Providers.
Major Responsibilities:
- Patient Medication Refills
- Procurement of Specialty Medications
- Coordinate with Lead Technician on Patient/Provider Communication Facilitation
- Monitoring of All Forms of Patient Communication
- Vendor/Pharma Relations
- Assist with Triage of Ocular Emergencies and Coordinate with On-Call Provider’s Lead Technician
- Assist with the timely completion of patient administrative needs (FMLA, Workman’s Comp, Work Excuses, DMV, other forms)
- Coordination of internal/external care needs for patients (labs, orders, results, etc.)
- Provide Specialty-Specific Administrative Support to Lead Technicians
- Assists Lead Technician in Preparing Travelling Provider Materials
- Other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of basic computer skills and application software.
- Demonstrates exceptional knowledge, use and documentation skills of both EPM and EHR.

- Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to alleviate anxiety in a patient.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information (HIPAA compliance).
Education/Certifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Word processing/computer scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of typical office work environment.
- Previous customer service experience required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time with frequent stooping and stretching.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to raise hands and arms to shoulder level without restriction, pain, or discomfort.
- Ability to perform extended use of phones and computer keyboarding without pain or discomfort.

- This is a Full-Time Position.
- Compensation for this role will be $19 - $21 an hour based on experience.
