We are seeking a Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Upsell products to customers to increase sales
- Conduct product demonstrations when required
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle various customer personalities
- Knowledge of retail sales principles and practices
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Experience with supervising or leading a team is a plus
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for pricing and discounts
- Ability to perform product demos to showcase features and benefits
- Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous
- Competency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.35 - $16.46 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
