What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Patton Veterinary Hospital?

We are seeking part-time/full-time receptionists for our fast paced, multi-doctor veterinary hospital that is Feline Friendly certified and AAHA accredited. We are dedicated to helping you grow in your skills and knowledge by offering frequent evaluations and a continuing education allowance.

Qualified Candidates:
- Can work evenings or mornings, and be included in a Saturday/Sunday rotation
- Can follow and routinely display the hospital's core values (Compassion, Empathy, Integrity, Team Player, & Adaptability)
- Are outgoing individuals with exceptional customer service skills
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Have a high-level of computer proficiency to use the hospital’s database software (Cornerstone), Word, Excel, email, and other internet-based platforms
- Hold experience managing multi-line phone systems
- Have confidence to explain payment and financial concerns with clients
- Are able to multi-task and work cohesively in a team environment, but also has self-motivation to work independently
- Are open to being trained, but experience with receptionist duties is a plus
- Display the ability to learn new things, which will provide the opportunity to educate clients on hospital services, procedures, and vaccine protocols
- Can manage stressful situations and are able to change priorities as needed
- Exhibit personal qualities such as enthusiasm, a friendly demeanor, and compassion for pets and their owners
