We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to assist with our staffing and HR functions.
Position Summary:
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our HR team by supporting staffing operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Screen, interview, and hire new Home Health Aides (HHAs) in accordance with company policies.
- Recruit weekly from HHA Schools, communities, job fairs, and other designated areas.
- Participate in community events to distribute HHA flyers and brochures.
- Submit weekly new hire reports to HR Compliance and HHA availability lists to Client Care Coordinators/Intake Department.
- Lead the resolution of HHA relations issues, including providing coaching to department leaders on HR matters.
- Maintain accurate health records for all HHAs using HHA Exchange.
- Administer HHA training and coordinate orientation schedules.
- Conduct reference checks and background checks on potential hires.
- Monitor the timely completion of HHA evaluations.
- Maintain HHA personnel files in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Process unemployment, disability, and worker compensation claims promptly.
- Assist in disciplinary meetings and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal labor laws and maintain communication regarding process changes and updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and preservation of equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and coworkers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in office software is essential.
- Bi-lingual candidates are preferred.
