What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position at PEACE, Inc.?
SCHEDULE: Weekdays 7:30am to 3:30pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent formal education.
- Minimum of one year of receptionist experience working in a professional environment utilizing standard office equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, data entry systems, and email.
- Good verbal, written, and typing skills, and ability to handle confidential information and to interact with all levels of staff and public.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Answer and transfer telephone calls to site staff, allow entry to visitors and ensure that they sign in and out, and respond to or redirect queries as appropriate.
2. Coordinate the daily distribution of all agency interoffice mail sent to and from the site, and assist in the distribution of Head Start program information to site staff.
3. Responsible for the ordering of office supplies for site as needed.
4. Assist the site supervisor in the development of forms, graphics, and other documents as necessary.
5. Assist Head Start staff with computer issues prior to contacting the I.T. Department.
6. Perform data entry tasks as directed.
7. Maintain a filing system for documents, reports and correspondence.
