Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our teaching team at Peacock Family Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves collaborating with the lead teacher in maintaining daily schedules, lesson plans, and parent communication, promoting learning through play, and supporting the overall growth of preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in preschool education.
- Provide care for children who are two and a half up to four years old including potty training, pre math/reading/writing, and social/emotional learning/
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise both in person and on our inhouse app.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience in preschool or daycare settings may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with students in a preschool or childcare environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
- Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
