What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Services Clinician position at Pennyroyal Center?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provide psychosocial evaluations and crisis interventions services to clients in both crisis placement and outpatient crisis services.
2) Provide therapeutic services such as individual, family and/or group therapy for client in both crisis placement and outpatient crisis stabilization services.
3) Complete crisis assessment and emergency assessments using tele-health system as necessary/appropriate.
4) Participate in staff conferences/treatment team meetings.
5) Prepare treatment plans, write goals and objectives.
6) Work as part of a multi-disciplined team in crisis services with emphasis on providing client with least restrictive services and/or referrals.
7) Consultation and education in the community and with community agencies which may include law enforcement, industry, Community Based Services, and others on both program and case basis as needed.
8) Provide therapeutic interventions to victims of community crisis/disaster situations.
9) Clinician may be required to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the program.
10) Travel to other clinic areas may be expected based on the needs of the program.
11) Assist other emergency services staff (i.e. Crisis Case Workers, RESPOND, Emergency Services Clinicians) as needed and available.
12) Attend available trainings to meet program/licensure requirements.
13) Complete all required documentation according to agency policies and procedures.
14) Other duties as required/assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of either (1) Master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology with Kentucky certification as a psychological associate; (2) Master’s in social work with Kentucky licensure as an LCSW (or CSW working toward LCSW with proper supervision and experience); or (3) others who meet QMHP qualifications. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and present proof of automobile insurance. Must pass a legally required Criminal Records Check and a Sexual Offender Registry Check. Must provide proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
