Candidates must be in title, eligible for transfer, or reachable on the Civil Service Eligible List.
Provisional appointment may be considered. To be considered for provisional appointment you must meet the following requirements: one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional** title set in an office environment. **Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1; Direct Support Assistant; Food Service Worker 1; Licensed Practical Nurse; Mental Health Therapy Aide; and Security Services Assistant.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will perform complicated clerical and office support activities that require substantive knowledge of the programs, rules, or regulations. Such rules, or regulations may be subject to frequent change. They process requests that do not meet normal parameters and may require additional research and consultation with higher level staff. They also perform activities that may require coordination with internal or external parties.
- Other duties as assigned.
As a participating agency in the Heath Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus Program (HWB), direct care employees may be eligible to earn up to $3000 in bonuses for qualifying service if they meet specific requirements including continuous service during the appropriate vesting periods.
