Position Overview:
The Plant Controller will be responsible for financial leadership at the plant level, overseeing accounting functions, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This dynamic role requires a hands-on professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who can operate independently and contribute to broader operational functions as the company builds out its U.S. infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the plant’s financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Perform detailed journal entries and oversee the month-end close process.
- Conduct high-level financial analysis, including cost accounting and capital expenditure planning.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and assist with audit-related tasks.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and procurement teams to establish operational financial processes.
- Support payroll functions and assist in setting up financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls.
- Partner with the parent company to facilitate integration and long-term financial planning.
- Maintain flexibility to support other business needs as the organization scales.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Cost accounting experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a newly formed organization.
- Experience in public accounting or past audit experience is a plus.
- CPA certification is not required, but beneficial.
