*****Large scale Union Mason Contractor seeks Mason Estimator*****
Union Mason Contractor is looking for an aggressive Mason Estimator with proven experience in commercial ground up construction. Shall have a solid technical understanding of CMU and brick veneer works as well as any additional masonry scope items, must be able to adapt to changes in his/her role in accordance to the company needs, shall have strong organizational and communication skills, shall have the ability to take a project from the pre-construction phase to its completion, must be a good salesman, must be able to multi-task.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
I. Project submittals of material, tracking approvals and resubmission.
2. Review of project plans for completeness.
3. Trade breakdown (Ability to perform complete take offs, masonry square footage and components).
4. Bid detail and package preparation.
5. Establishment of pre buyout budget.
6. Contract documents preparation/submittals/leed requirements.
7. General conditions procurement and maintenance.
8. RFI management and logging.
9. Pre-installation conference management.
10. Quality control.
11. Budget and Time management.
12. Project Close out.
13. Site safety plan procurement and management.
14. Other duties expected of a construction project manager.
15. Computer Literacy (Microsoft office, Ms Project or similar, etc.).
16. Attend weekly jobsite meetings.
17. Some general estimating experience.
18. Produce and track change orders.
19. Produce material list to start project.
20. Order all materials required to perform masonry scope.
Education: College Degree in relative disciplines. Education can be substituted by experience. Additional certifications shall assist in the decision making of the right candidate.
Compensation: Base salary commensurate with proven experience (portfolio, references, etc.)
