We are seeking a motivated Dietary Manager with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will help and care for patients, supervise dietary staff, offer guidance and support, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure that all dietary operational tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
You will need to be a certified Dietary Manager, enjoy working with people, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Your pay will depend upon experience, your prior survey outcomes, and your skill set, as well as having the certification required to be a Dietary Manager. You will also have the opportunity to earn additional incentive income.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, serve meals and snacks to all residents of the facility
- Lead the dietary team to ensure compliance with regulatory and cleanliness requirements
- Coordinate with the IDT to ensure nutritional needs of all residents are met and dietary orders are followed
- Interact in friendly and welcoming manner with all residents and guests
- Instruct and train dietary team on proper methodologies, practices, and requirements of the kitchen
- Recruit, retain, and maintain staff according to the needs of the facility including preparing labor schedules
- Purchase food, supplies, and equipment to meet the needs of the facility while adhering to appropriate budgets
- Attend leadership meetings, care plan meetings, and other meetings as required
- Make rounds in the facility to meet residents and cater to their preferences
- Carry out applicable policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator/designee
Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed the Food Service Supervisor course and have current certification.
- Must be knowledgeable of current regulatory standards.
- Must have the ability to train, supervise and direct dietary personnel in their proper duties and in accepted dietary procedures and techniques.
