Desktop Support Specialist
Albany based IT Solutions company is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. The Desktop Support Specialist will assist in providing on-site and remote desktop support along with hardware and software troubleshooting. We are looking for someone who can follow procedures and learn new tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure desktop PC’s including setup, reformatting and re-installing software
- Possess working knowledge of MS Office Suite of applications
- Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot hardware and software issues and replace hardware or software as needed
- Provide phone support to end users
- Ability to troubleshoot operating system errors
- Candidate must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
- Provide hardware and software support for PC’s
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, and upgrade services as needed
- Configure workstations to end user specifications
Requirements
- Associates Degree in related field or two to four years of experience with helpdesk and/or end user support
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions
- Local travel is required - must have reliable vehicle
- Professional certifications preferred

- Full Time: 40 Hours a week.
