A premiere family law boutique in Downtown Pittsburgh seeks a full-time paralegal. The firm offers competitive salaries, discretionary bonuses, medical insurance coverage, and a 401(k) plan. This busy law firm has seventeen attorneys and approximately twelve staff members but prides itself in maintaining a positive office culture and supportive work environment.
Primary duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Assist attorneys in all stages of family law cases, including but not limited to the following:
· Prospective client intake
· Administering of conflict checks
· Supporting and scheduling existing clients
· Interaction with court personnel
· Initial file set up and ongoing file maintenance.
· Preparation of family law pleadings, including Complaints, Petitions, Affidavits, Waivers and Praecipes
· Calendaring
Requirements:
· Prior experience in family law strongly preferred.
· Paralegal certificate strongly preferred.
· Candidate must be a self-starter, articulate, organized and flexible.
· Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong writing and communication skills.
· Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Programs.
· Knowledge of Time Matters, Worldox, and Time Slips is preferred.
