Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION

Department:

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Non-Union

Approved By: General Manager

SUMMARY

Enters all incoming linen purchase orders on an inventory log. Maintains daily inventory sheet and moves linen received into their appropriate storage areas. Also injects linen as needed for production. Completes month-end inventories and submits to the Controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks in all incoming linen purchase orders as well as other incoming freight.
  • Records received items on inventory log.
  • Daily fills out the PHSC Linen Perpetual Inventory control worksheet.
  • All packing slips are signed, dated, copied and sent to the Supervisor/Finance.
  • Oversee new linen Injections when requested by Management.
  • Keeps receiving and inventory area tidy and well organized.
  • Reports problems or concerns to Production Supervisor.
  • Maintains positive and professional attitude. Exhibits respect towards management and co-workers. Works cooperatively with the production team to meet goals.
  • Notifies Supervisor/Engineer, in a timely manner, of any safety, mechanical or material issues. Places a call directly for engineering as needed. Understands how to properly use emergency stops when required.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Works mandatory overtime as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned by Production Supervisors and/or Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to read and comprehend Policies and Procedures.
